413 km of range on a SR/F in the Swiss Alps
« on: July 24, 2020, 11:34:52 AM »

The other day I did a 339 km tour in the Swiss Alps through 6 mountain passes and, after a long and slow ride down the first peak where I even could extensively use the cruise control (14 km and 1126 m), I managed to trick the range calculating algorithm to surprising results. Overall, and after having spent over 10'000 km riding it, I got used to the actual range and charging at 5.7 kW (Premium model). I am routinely getting more than 260 km albeit, riding alone, with full regen, with as little highway as possible, and in summer temperatures. My charging times when on tour nicely corresponds to what I anyway need to rest, walking around or eating & drinking. That day I charged twice back to 100% and got home with over 50% SoC.

Great results indeed!

What do you use cruise control for on downhills? Does it automatically break to hold that speed? Haven't used it enough myself in those conditions to remember that  :o

With regenerative braking set to 100% when going downhill I always need to twist-grip the throttle control otherwise I would slow down to a walking speed. The cruise control does that for me between distant curves.
