Preload on Eva Marzocchi
« on: May 16, 2020, 10:04:09 PM »

Finally decided to check sag and suspension settings on my Eva with Marzocchi/Bitubo. I'm aiming at 30% rider sag from the full travel, but can't find any reference to the Eva Marzocchi fork full travel. Does anyone know the sweet numbers in mm or inches? Meanwhile I've dialled fork sag to be 35mm, is  that OK for the street riding (I prefer firm suspension)?

Stroke length is 110mm so with your 35mm your right at 30%.

I'm interested how many turns out from full in are you at with the preload adjusters on the forks. Factory is 6 turns out.

Thank you Demoni! I did 12 full turns clockwise from nut turned completely counterclockwise. My weight is 96kg.

Could you turn the nut all the way in and count how many turns out? All the valving on suspension is referenced from the fully closed (clockwise) position.
I am going to guess you are 5 turns out.

That was a bit more than 3 full turns out from the fully closed.
