Poor SR/F brake lines routing under triple tree

I was happy when I saw threads for spools on my new SR/F swing arm, a bit less when I checked if my Pitbull front headlift pin #7 fits the triple tree hole.  The brake lines pass right under it (attached picture). There is some play to move it aside and clear the hole but unscrewing this assembly each time defeats the commodity of using the stand for simple routine maintenance. Before having a bracket machined, I am checking here if there is one available somewhere.

I haven't checked on mine but you also have front fork lifts that have pins that fit at the bottom ends of the 2 forks. The forks need an indent at the bottom for this to stay in place. My street triple had this.

About bad routing. The cables also hit the plastics in some positions.

Are you sure you don't mean single front brake disk SR? I haven't noticed asymmetric forks on double brake disks SR/F.

I probably expressed myself incorrectly.
As I am unable to take images right now (bike in for repair) , the "sides" of the fork are 'asymmetric', in that the front stand of Amazon B07L4JB54Y does not have a good grip on one side, and the bike slides/drops out of the holder.

This is not the case with Amazon B07L3MG3PQ.


I hope my fuzzy explanation does not add to the confusion.  :)

on the right side, the hole where the paddock stand connects to, is closer to the ground than on the left side.
In other words. the right fork is longer and extends further to the ground compared to the left fork. That means that if you have a paddonck stand which has equal height on both sides, the right side would sit on the paddock stand but the left side would be dangling in the air (about a 1 cm difference, about ¼ of an inch) assuming the bike is upright.

This is mainly because on the right side the pinch bolts make bracket that holds the fork thicker. They could have easily extended the left fork as well but I think they did not do that because that would add weight to the unsprung mass
I believe yamaha uses the same principle.

But how does this symmetric, non height adjustable Pin-Stand fit, when the Pin holes on the fork have ~1cm height difference? Did you try it? Thanks!

I have bought both Amazon references ; I know for sure what works and what doesn't.  :)

(pictures may tell more than a thousand words. I'd love to deliver you some images, as that would imply I would finally have my bike back from repair)

I personally don’t prefer the front stands that lift from under the forks. If you are going to use one, be sure you’re ok with your bike falling over. It will happen at the worst time usually when the wheel is off! Besides, if you are planning on doing anything with the forks it’s useless. One of the benefits of the Zeros is that the bottom is flat enough to get a jack underneath.

If I am not mistaken, the bottom (skidplate ?) of the SR/F is of a different construction/material compared to previous models, and hence a center stand is prone to compromising the structural integrity of those parts ?

The manual does explicitly warn against lifting via the skidpan. Anecdotally, it does seem like a thin aluminum part that is not designed to support bike weight

I couldn't find anything in the manual saying not to lift it from the skid pan (searched for pan, lift, jack, stand). All it does mention of relevance is to lift the front or rear wheel off the ground with a stand (in the sag setting section), but doesn't say specifically how to do so or what type of stand to use.

Sorry, I am not familiar with the SR/F and was referring to the previous models. Mostly wanted to warn against the under fork stands. I wouldn’t use one, just my personal preference.

As expected, the asymetric Fork Ends require an adjustable wheel lift for one side. I will have a look, if i can find another one that does have this feature.

Did you use the back wheel lift ?
With a back wheel lift, the front wheel rests quite stable in this front lift.

(Wondering whether a metal rod through the front axle would be a viable/safe alternative, as the axle center is level.)
