Lightning Strike Carbon Edition written review
« on: March 27, 2020, 12:59:57 AM »

Hey all. We had time to collect our thoughts after seeing and interacting with the Lighting Strike firsthand. By now you know we're reviewing a bike that was not delivered with the promised stats and had a, "temporary battery". All that aside, this reviews the other major areas of concern on the bike beyond the battery and charging shortcomings.

Wow.  Just... WOW.  Has anyone done a thorough deep dive into a "production" LS-218?  Curious how that "cost is no object" bike stacks up now...

Never been able to find one. The only confirmed owner of a street legal LS-218 got into a crash and the bike has been at Lightning HQ for 6+ months.

A good summary of what I recall from your podcasts & YouTube reviews, thanks!

As I recall, a couple of days after the 2nd podcast (Around Feb. 26) the owner was due to take the bike back to Lightning to fix (at least some of) the issues.
Do you know whether he did, and if so, whether he got his bike back,  and what he says was fixed?
I realize you probably wouldn't have been able to see the bike again yet, due the shelter-in-place regs, just wondering whether any progress was reported.

I believe the only issue that was addressed was the tank not being latched securely. Nothing else was done to the bike as I understand.
