Segway shows off concept model with fairing

https://electrek.co/2020/01/02/watch-segway-apex-electric-motorcycle-concept-track/

The article has some nice stills, since the video is kinda over produced,

I'm encouraged that it actually  has a fairing.
Too bad it's only a concept; I wonder if they're seriously considering production? It would seem out of their sphere of activity (the Vespa-type scooter is much closer to their usual market).

This is not Dean Kamen's Segway.

This is 9bot, the Segway clone maker that ended up buying Segway, cashing in on the Segway name for mostly derivative products.

I find concept models to be extremely frustrating.  How often do they actually lead to a worthwhile product for the teeming masses?  Right now, there are hundreds of EM concept models and I suspect that the vast majority of them won't lead to a marketable bike or part.  They are more like one of a kind art projects for bored designers.

That has been my thought for some time, also. If you visit this site you can see most of those concepts and press releases, which seem to be announced almost every day, yet how many of them have you seen on the road or even in a retail showroom?  https://electricmotorcycles.news/news/

Not many, I would wager.   ::)

1st new bike track video without a knee dragging I've seen. That's a concept in itself!

I just have this image in my mind of an electric racing series for Mall Cops.

Or is that just me?

A few more words about this concept.  I do like the looks, but I have a feeling that this is another one-off EV that we won't see in a retail showroom:

One of the better looking concepts I've seen, but yeah, will anyone ever get a chance to actually buy one?
