Hello,

I'm french (excuse me for my english).

Someone around my house is selling a 2012 Zero X enduro.

He says that the battery is good and is in a second with the bms card out of service.

He offers 2500 €

Is it a good deal? What should you watch out for?

How much does a bms card cost if I wanted to replace it on the other battery and I can find that.

I saw on Ebay (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/EIG-PHEV-EV-designed-lithium-polimer-cells-3-7V-20AH-with-10C-discharge-rate-/254412523047) a person who sells cells of batteries, are these the good models if I wanted one day to remake the battery?

You might want to check to be sure that bike hasn't been recalled. I am not familiar with the Zero X model, but my daughter's 2012 Zero S and all other S and DS models from 2012 were recalled by Zero a few years ago and sent to the crusher as being a potential fire hazard.  Zero picked up her bike at her home and gave her a $6,200 check (if I recall correctly).  Again: I have no idea if the X model was involved in this recall.

But it looks like it doesn't affect the FX models, just the S, DS and DSP models.

Well, 2012 was five years before I even thought about getting into electric motorcycles.

I had a 2012 XU, so closer to the X than the S or DS.
Keep in mind that the 2012 is an orphan and will have no support.
That was the last year before they went to 96 Volts. If you had one, it
might be worth playing around with but, I would not purchase one.
Also, in that area, the 2013 FX and probably the X were also orphans.
The S and DS are forward compatible, but the FX isn't. It has the 96 Volt
battery but, the connections, and contactor are different. Unless, the
person is giving it to you, and you are very handy,  I would probably avoid it.
