New Livewire TV spot
« on: August 26, 2019, 12:17:18 AM »

Did anyone else see the Livewire TV commercial?  I was eating out and there was a soccer game on and when I turned back to it I saw the Livewire and a guy on getting his mind blown and all the lights streaking around him Star Wars light speed style.
It hit me that was the first commercial for an electric motorcycle on TV.  The rest of the world knows our secret now.
And so it begins.

Well it's not quite the first. H-D was marketing the shit out of it and had TV ads during the X-Games in like February.

Mildly topical:

(YouTube: Transport Evolved)

For comparison of some 4-wheeled EV first television commercials.

The other night I watched Sticker Shock on motor trend tv. Harley ran the LW ad at every commercial interruption.

I also watched this and thought they were spot on. EV ads and marketing are terrible and leave a big gap around how this thing fits into your life.
