Newbie to electric bikes
« on: September 19, 2019, 03:14:09 PM »

Hi, I recently decided to try and build an electric motorcycle. Have been riding bikes for over 30 years but only ridden a few electric bicycles. To date have acquired the motorcycle for conversion, a 2016 AJS Regal Raptor which I bought from a breakers for £350. Bike is complete, has only covered 1420 miles, all straight and has V5, but no engine which explains price! Then bought a 3000kw motor with controller and throttle, dc to dc convertor, and a pile of Samsung 30Q batteries. Have welded a 13T sprocket to the motor and just finished building a 72V 20s6p battery after watching loads of videos on YouTube! Now need to work out how to fit everything into the bike frame and get it working - feel sure will run into problems so was hoping this forum might be the place to ask questions when I do. Any thoughts or suggestions welcome 👍

Hi this forum is mostly about manufactured electric motorcycles how they ride and issues we might have with them.
But you are in luck because these guys do what your talking about.

Good luck with the bike and enjoy.
