Tucson EV
« on: December 17, 2019, 04:20:33 AM »

Since I have the address, today I decided to take a ride over to Tucson EV.  I am not totally surprised, but it's a private residence in  rather poor area of Tucson and I think it's probably a one-man operation.

Not that it matters any. The two J-adapters I purchased from  there (one which was used today here.) a few months ago, could not possibly be of any better quality than those.

These adapters are so I can run my OBC and two Quick-Chargers from  a  J-1772.  MUCH better quality than the Mickey-Mouse thing Zero sells, and MUCH more useful. And can handle MUCH more current (obvious just by looking).  They are the DSS-EV-50S-V3, which are rated at 50 amps at 240 VAC (12KW) for the J-connector or around  15 amps per branch (14 AWG times 3) or 3.6 KW AC times 3.

I did NOT knock on the door to see if anybody is home, so they (or he) have  (has) no idea that I was there.
