You can also adjust the max charge rate using the bike.

With the bike plugged in and charging turn the key to the on position. Using the L?R directions or the mode button you can adjust the max charge current (from 1-15A for AC charging). Once set turn the key to the off position.

You can also adjust the DC charge rate the same way, bike just needs to be plugged into a DC charger.

Both of these settings are remembered by the bike so make sure to turn them back up.

Thanks for that info. If I ever get my phone to work with the bike again! I would be nice if we could do this stuff on the bike itself.

Anyway, here is a big surprise to me:

My Reno Tesla-Tap works perfectly here in Auburn. So obviously, the problem is NOT the TeslaTap at all, but has to be some setting in my Reno Tesla Wall Connector. I will open up the box here and check all the switches and etc. and make sure my (exact same model) is set up the same way in Reno.

I am now charging (at 3KW) my SS9 with my TeslaTap from Reno.

I am now back in Reno. The very first thing I did when I got here was to take off the covers of the Tesla Wall Connector. I found EVERYTHING to be exactly the same as in Auburn. All wires in the same order, as dip switches set  the same, etc.

So I decided to try it with the same Tesla Tap again, with the same bike.

It's now working perfectly! I have no idea why. I did not change anything at all.

I admit to making one mistake and that is I took the Tesla Wall Connector covers off before trying it again here. I should know better. However, there were no   pinched wires or anything like that.  I kinda assume it would have worked even before I touched it here today.

I am now using it to top off the charge. I am no longer getting that "DC initialization" message or anything like that.  So I have no clue why it didn't work at all  few days ago, no matter how many times I tried, both at a very low charge on the bike as well has a much higher charge on the bike (I charged up at the Reno HD dealer and then checked the L2 charging at the Western Village Casino in sparks. Both of those worked. Then I came back here and had the exact same problem again, until today.

So now I cannot say for 100% certainly if it's an intermittent problem with my Tesla Wall Connector, Tesla Tap  or the bike!
