I have ridden all 3. The Ego is not, and never will be, my thing. I grew up on the dirt; I can't do track bike positioning. The Eva is absolutely fine, but the SS9 is just downright *comfortable*.

If you like track positioning then you'll probably love the Ego. Brandon is obsessed with it, but with his smashed up spine he can't maintain that position for long trips. That's the main reason he's doing the Iron Butt attempt on an SS9.

I think I was just talked back into the SS9. But I will sit on the others just to see for myself.

Speaking of new Energicas, here is a long video detailing the features of a custom electric motorcycle from a company called DeBolex who designed the bike using the Energica power train.  A nice job of styling and quite understated, unlike most customs:

Here is a Motorcycle.com video review of the 2018 Energica Eva Esse Esse 9 that I just found:

Have you tried all there models of the Energicas?  At least sit on them all?  I wonder how the riding position compares. I  could end up buying to most expensive one, the red one with the frame mounted fairing, if it fits me well. It sure looks nice from the photos, but looks is the last thing on my list when buying a bike. I can't look at it while riding!

I didn't ride the Ego because I knew the sport bike riding position was a no-go for me. I rode the Eva107 and the Esse Esse 9. The Esse Esse 9 was the most comfortable without a doubt. You could notice the difference in power between the Eva107 and SS9 but like the Motorcycle.com review said, it wasn't enough of a difference that I felt the SS9 was underpowered in any way.

I found the Eva107 riding position very similar to the SR/F which is why I decided to go with the SS9 and cancel my SR/F order. I'd rather have to do a bit more routine preventative maintenance and be comfortable than get a bike that's extremely low maintenance but not enjoy riding as much.

So far, after about a month in I have no regrets about pulling the trigger on the Energica. Ask me again in a year though after I've racked up mileage. ;)

Sounds good.

How does the foot peg position on the SS9 compare to the SR/F?  When I test rode the SR/F, that bothered me even more than the riding position. Was way too cramped. Not enough room between footpegs and seat.  And how does the power compare between the SS9 and the SR/F?

Footpegs on the SS9 are noticeably lower than on the SR/F. Again, I found the Eva107 to be closest to the SR/F regarding riding position. I find the SS9 more relaxed than those two.

The performance between the SR/F and SS9 are very close. The biggest difference I've found is the power delivery from a stop. Energica seems to have softened the power delivery from a dead stop so it builds rather than being an "on/off" kind of delivery. Once you're rolling though it's just like any other electric...nearly instantaneous power delivery. It's slows it down in regards to 0-60 times but roll-on is exhilarating.

The Eva107's performance on the other hand is noticeably stronger than the SR/F and SS9 in roll-ons but it too is softened from a dead stop.

My guess is Energica softened the power delivery to keep folks from looping the bikes on themselves from a dead stop...just my guess. Nothing to confirm my opinion.
