motor temperature calibration
« on: June 14, 2019, 11:09:35 AM »

2017 zero DSR, dash temp display is 135f in the morning when its 65F air temp. The temp rises as high as 165 during my commute, but the motor is no more than warm to the touch. Is there a way to calibrate tge sensor, or is this a dealer thing?

Motor temp is winding temp & MUCH hotter then outer housing temp.

I'm not implying that you don't have an issue tho........

If you could calibrate the sensor it would probably be under the "build a cable to access the MBB" which you can do very inexpensively. Then you've got a console with a bunch of commands to explore. Worth a try.

Supposedly the temperature sensor is more accurate at higher temperatures.  Unless you have reason to believe that you are experiencing thermal limiting when you shouldn't be, I'd recommend not worrying about it.
