I'm 'draining' the gas by running my Little Wonder blower and smaller 2-cycle leaf blower.  I won't need them for the rest of the season.  I know they make some electric versions of these, but they aren't as good...yet.  I also changed the oil on my riding mower.  I'm reminded of much I hate having to deal with oil and filters.  The revolution can't happen fast enough!

(I do have an electric weed trimmer though.  'Love that thing!)

I have a Greenworks battery-powered mower, leaf blower, weed wacker and hedge trimmer. They all work great and use the same batteries. I was really happy to cut the cord on my previous AC equipment and I have never had any problem running out of battery power on either the 2.0 or 4.0 Ah batteries that I use to power the devices.  BTW, Consumer Reports reviewed battery-powered mowers in this month's magazine.

I would probably go that route if I needed to buy again, but these things work so well.  I saw they even make a battery powered riding lawn mower now.

I recently bought a battery powered chainsaw and hedge trimmer (Makita LXT). They each use 2 of the same 18V batteries as my power tools. I'm very happy with them both. Maybe a ride-on lawnmover isn't there yet, but most of the other stuff is.

I've often wondered if some mixture of biodiesel and alcohol would be an adequate fuel for these machines. Biodiesel is even more energy-dense than gasoline, so if you mix it with a bit of alcohol you should be able to get just about the equivalent energy of gasoline. I have no idea if the burning characteristics would be similar enough to gasoline, but it it worked then you could have a renewable fuel to use in your ICE equipment. If you need better lubrication than the biodiesel (which I understand is a pretty good lube), maybe plain old vegetable oil would work.

I've been using EGO branded tools for roughly six years now.  The push mowers work fine, but each of three has stopped working for me after a year or three of moderate intensity usage.  The same batteries are usable in the trimmer (really good, though my one is now having an issue after five years), chainsaw (also really good), and blower (downright outstanding).

I got a Ryobi riding mower last year, and it has been great.  I believe it has older battery tech (not LIon), but it's certainly hanging in there with my own usage.

I even have a few Black & Decker electric tools still around as backups, though I did have to get replacement batteries for them about two years ago.  I've had these tools for probably thirteen years or so (trimmer, blower, little chainsaw, drill) and all are still working fine.  Only drawback to these has been the shorter runtimes of the batteries (obviously pre-LIon).

I also use  non-ICE stuff as much as possible. My lawn mower, weed wacker, leaf blower and hedge trimmer  are all battery operated stuff.

I am hoping Tesla or somebody will soon build an E-RV with a 400+ mile range.   But that will probably take around 450 KWH of battery. Will be pricey.  But I am done buying ICE anything for the rest of my life. The ICE stuff I have now should all outlive me. I have enough oil changes to do as it is, for this year.

My Zero is spoiling me. I keep forgetting to perform an oil change on my ICE motorcycles.  Fortunately, I tend to use synthetic oil in the hope that it will last a couple of years without being changed.

I also have switched to a 40V Dewalt Weed Wacker and chainsaw and they have far exceeded my expectations, especially the chainsaw. So quiet and easy to use.

Also VERY happy with my Dewalt cordless blower, weed trimmer, chainsaw and circular saw - the last 2 are truly amazing!

As far as a riding mower, a conversion would be fairly simple and fun! I have a buddy that makes battery powered tractors - an ideal candidate as they go slow, love torque, few miles/day and the more weight the better!

Cub Cadet RZT-S Zero - electric riding mower.
Couple years in and the batteries in the Cub Cadet are fading and my acre now takes a couple of tries.
Odometer: 541 miles
Run Time: 151.1 Hours
Deck Time: 136.9 Hours
With the price of batteries I'm still OK mowing 20 minutes at a time.
