That worked! I don't know how you knew that butvi am so glad there are smarter people than me on here. Those cables are packed so damn tight that I had to cut some zip ties to get them loose.
Thanks so much! I hope it never happens again.

That's good to read !!!
I posted the problem on the Benelux facebook group, there were fortunately also smart members ;-)

alko: Please pull the two logs and let the dealer send them to Zero?
And let us know the results?
I'm curious if their findings are the same as with mine logs!!

Have fun with your Zero, and many safe kilometers!!!

Unfortunately, I don't know how to pull logs.

alko, You can download and email this via the zero app.
On my android phone the app crashes after download, but you can manually select the files from:
local files/android/data/com.ZeroMotorcycles/files

And then mail them to your dealer.

alko, the app workes oke? can see batt stats en volt and so on?
and is not in Demo mode (you see your own bike)?
maybe you can try it with another phone (or tablet).
You still have time with me I can look back a 2000km in one log.
And every 1000 km I download a log.

Sorry, but I don't understand. I've got the app because I set my "custom" setting with it, but dont understand the technical stuff, and I can't find instructions anywhere on how to do that stuff or even use the app. I figured out how to pair the app to my bike and set the custom settings, but nothing else. The charge stats don't even match the bike at all, not even close and I don't have it in demo mode. The dash says Batt is at 60%, but app says 87%.

Are you sure you're not in Demo mode?
Demo mode is 87% batt.

Alko the app will connect to the bike two ways after you have paired it the first time.
First by having the bike charging.  Like Burpman said it should show a picture of your bike and say 2017 DSR.
Second by having the bike on and with the kickstand down and the throttle kill switch on so the throttle can't work (for safety)
The phone needs to be pretty close to the bike.

If your still having trouble pairing it you can plug the bike in (less than 100% SOC) and then start the app and while it's loading there is a little "settings" section in the load up screen, you can tap that and it gives you more options to pair.  I think this is also where you can move the little slider to turn off the demo mode.

The bike is paired and already did those things. Still no luck. Don't worry, I don't care about all this tech stuff. As long as the bike works, im happy.

Any resolution on this?

Also, I’ll update the unofficial manual for the BMS port revision. I know I’ve seen it but the details didn’t make it into writing. Juggling tiny platform revisions can get really fiddly.

Yes. Bike works great. I had trouble getting the app to connect to the bike, but eventually figured that out too thanks to the help on this forum. Is there something else you needed?

No, that’s what I wanted to know. The MBB disconnect suggestion isn’t something I’ve listed before but seems valid in a scenario like yours with other options already tried.

I've revised the procedure with the per-year information:

I'm not sure yet how to structure the reasoning that leads to an MBB reconnect, since that involves helping the owner see the broader context and connecting together a string of troubleshooting strategies. But I created a disconnected stub procedure page:
