Your post definately helped getting a better overview.
I still think this should be better reflected within the app, but here's to hoping they improve it in a sensible time in the future.

I've never been a fan of opt-out solutions.. They make me automatically go through ALL options both available and invisible to block analytics both as options and through firewall..
Flurry would be one of those automatically blocked in my firewall already. That thing reports WAY more than indicated in the information from Zero, but thats not Zero's fault.. IIRC they were also one of the apps that was revealed to have kept reporting even when disabled in options some time back.. :/
