I said it before in a similar thread. I was really excited when I read the initial press releases on the Strike. Now, what 6 months or so later and I've had an opportunity to test ride the Zero SR/F which was announced around the same time, the press has gotten to ride the LiveWire, and yet no confirmed real test rides of any of the Strike models (other than reports of taking it for a spin around the block).

I live close to Lightning yet I chose not to attend their open house. After reading reviews and impressions of the event, I'm glad I didn't brave the heat to attend. Unfortunately this really, really feels like the Skully fiasco all over again.

I honestly hope I'm wrong and Lightning somehow gets it together, gets a killer bike onto the market at a killer price (albeit with at least traction control and ABS) but my gut tells me it won't happen. :(

So the three bikes on display are actually reserved and waiting to be picked up or delivered. Yet deliveries are 90 days away????

That can't be right.  The blue bike (with the gopro mount) is the prototype they've been using to test things on.  If the white and yellow ones are completed, surely that means they'd be going out to their owners soon.  :o Right?  I would have thought they'd keep those as demo bikes, to show off the colors and also give people a chance to ride them.  Otherwise.. what is there to ride?

The Open House was a non-event....

The free food from the Mexican food catering truck was another story....  Excellent....

There was a slide show and some revving of bikes on stands, but no actual riding on the street, or in the parking lot, either by Lightning personnel or journalists or potential customers.

The presentation was a joke. Contained no useful information.

They really need to hire and retain a marketing person.

Remember the slide about Millenials and how they're building a company that appeals to them?
