Here is some more "official" information from Zero regarding the SR/F. I note that the smart phone connectivity system is only offered for two years without charge. After that, I wonder what will be the cost? Also. there is a mention that the app will let you know when your bike needs a firmware update (no big surprise there), but does not
specifically mention that the update will be free and can be accomplished at home, via an internet download. Naturally, there is also no mention of any required motor "commissioning" that will need to be accomplished at your franchised dealer:
https://electricmotorcycles.news/zero-motorcycles-launches-new-streetfighter-zero-sr-f/Another thing that I noticed in the article referenced above is all of the information that the bike keeps track of. It apparently knows just about everything that you do when riding, including your speeds and destinations. I wouldn't be surprised to hear that the Cyber III operating system was developed by a consultant and not done in-house. Maybe by the Cybermen.
So it does sound like if you ever get in an accident, personal injury lawyers will have a field day with the information contained in the bike's computer system. While it does apparently have a way to secure your privacy, I bet the Israelis can break into it.
One more comment: As you know the SR/F has the Bosch cornering ABS system that will automatically cut braking power when braking in a corner so that the brakes will not lock up when leaned over. When BMW first offered this feature last year they were charging almost $500 for the firmware download that would add this system to their motorcycles' ABS.
