Any e-bikers in The Bahamas ?
« on: November 21, 2018, 07:51:53 AM »

Newbie here - just imported a Zero SR 12.5/13 into Grand Bahama.  Now about to embark on the insurance/registration/it's not on the list adventure.  I think it is perfect for here.  You would never need to go more than 100km in a day, roads are big, quiet and pot-hole free.  It's gonna be great.
Any other electric bikes on the islands?

This sounds like a great business opportunity for someone. It sounds like a perfect match, not only for the locals, but for tourists as well. It seems like everyone rents mopeds or scooters when vacationing in spots like that, but I'd be much more comfortable on an actual motorcycle....and it seems like an electric would be ideal, in terms of ease of operation, low maintenance, etc. So not only could a shop service any locals who need service, there might be a very good business on the side in renting them to tourists.

Initial cost is a concern, but for the tourist market, it is a quite viable venture to consider.
