 - 17:00 Apéro (Snacks&Drinks and a getting to know eatch other)
 - 19:00 Start of the ride in and arround Lucerne

The first Europe- Electric Night Ride took place in Antwerpen last year. This year it will be in Lucerne, Switzerland!
When you are in Central Europe arround this time with your electric motorcycle, you have to come!
We are excepting arround 40-60 Bikes.

The event was a blast, even though the weather was not perfect! there still came about 45 vehicles, a lot from far away. We had people from belgium, the netherlands, france, germany, italy, switzerland (of course) and even USA -> togo, was it you?

Yeah, I was there on the yellow johammer.

Yeah, it was a blast. Both the evening event and the ride in the Alps the next day.

The evening event culimnated in space below a museum by the old city wall, where we all charged from a bank of lithium batteries installed in an 57 Chevy pickup that our host uses to balance the load. Seems they pay for electricity based on peak usage, not average. So they store up solar energy and release it as needed.

PS, if you want to try a johammer, SolarMarkt rents them. I paid ~$200USD for 24 hours. They are a solar wholesaler, panels and inverters and such. They are in the Zurich area. I got from there to Lucerne using less than half the battery. Using Google Maps with Avoids Highways mode takes you though some very interesting roads. There are a lot of single lane paved roads through farms and fields.
