You can now ride between Monterey and Moro Bay again.  Here is the latest.   :)

I am so on this. Maybe even this weekend.

I've completed the PCH route for SF-LA once in late 2016 before I mounted my dustbin fairing, and it was quite difficult but I obtained 120 miles range on my 13kWh DSR using judicious windscreen tuning and speed management and estimated range monitoring.

That wasn't entirely necessary, but it helps a lot for the stretch where only Tesla Destination / hotel chargers are available where I didn't want to spend time persuading anyone to let me charge. It mattered that it was very foggy and cold and visibility was dropping drastically. I still remember the moon rising through the fog inland through a deep ravine between hills in the early evening - it was really fantastic-looking, but my phone camera did not do it justice, and my hands were struggling against the cold wet air, so I kept moving.

And then the rainy season took out those bridges, so I haven't been able to repeat or iterate on that.

So, now I have a Hollywood Electrics fairing and a Power Tank for 16.3kWh (~15 nominal), and can head down there with more confidence.

I may have a new better dustbin, soon, and may even have a tail before the end of the year. Big Sur is certainly a nice place to ride a quiet motorcycle.

Oh, I forgot to post an update. I rode the PCH again with my Hollywood Electrics fairing and the Power Tank, and it was excellent.

My effective average range per charge was 150 miles, but that was below highway speeds. Downwind offered absurd range but upwind evened it out.

I will do this again soon with different fairing options installed for “testing”.

Nice view.
I haven't seen your bike without the bulbous bow front fairing.
I see you utilized the main frame tube for extra support strength.  What stops at ideas for me you actually make.
What is the material for the rear fairing?  Is it fiberglass or a polymer?

Oh, and yes keep making those "testing" sacrifices.
