Hi everybody, has anybody any experience of dismantling the throttle? I have an issue with my throttle response being poor from a standstill. But before I dismantle the throttle would there be anything that I could service myself. Or should I bin it and just get a new one?

From your post history, you seem to have a 2014 Zero, which has a Magura throttle. This should be relatively simple to examine with a multimeter:

Thanks Brian, I'm hoping that it is the throttle that is the problem The bike has the acceleration of a Robin Reliant at the moment. First step replace the throttle I think.

Hi Worksoptony, I had a throttle issue on my 2014 S. When checking the resistance with a multimeter, it should read 0 kohm at no throttle and when turning the throttle, work its way up to 5kohms. Mine was missing some values so it only had values from 0,2-3.2, 4-4.1. This meant that I had missing throttle values of 0-2, 3.2-4.1, and 4.1-5. So no throttle regen as that must occur between 0-2 kohms and no full power as 4.1-5 was missing. A thottle replacement fixed this. I’ve tried the Domino replacement just for a change and good for about a year so far.
