NZ South Island Road Trip
« on: March 01, 2018, 11:42:39 PM »

Hey again!  I recently installed 9.9kW worth of Diginow SCv2 chargers and decided to do a weekend trip to the south island with some friends.  Here's my video!

This is awesome! NZ is such a great place to explore. Keep it up!

Oh, and I like how your charger cooling fan has a little weather guard.

I was looking forward to watching your video, but after few seconds I got the spinning wheel of death.  I guess you are a victim of someone practicing the lack of "net neutrality".  :(

Aw man!  Did you end up getting it to work?  That's not a good sign.

Mine buffered for only a second and then played fine.  Man NZ is just concentrated rugged beauty.

I gave it a try again today and even took a ride to U-Tube, but I can't get past the first 10 seconds before I get the spinning wheel, which then never stops.   :(  Did Trump place a tariff on videos from NZ yesterday?   ::)

I had the same 10 second stop problem. Tried YouTube no help. Tried YouTube in Chrome, it worked! I'm using Firefox mostly.

Anyway, nice video!

That's super weird, but glad you guys were able to see it eventually!  I think I had as much fun editing the video as I did riding :P

Excellent video, are there things on the charging front you would have done differently if you'd do the same trip again?

Also, your entire browsing history is being sold of to the highest bidder. I don't want to go too much off topic but you can gain back your NN and browse more private by using a VPN. Costs about $40 per year and it's pretty much set and forget.

Thanks!  I guess more research.  If I had known I wouldn't get to use the 3-phase mennekes much, I would have left it at home and just stuck to campsites.  That would have freed up space in my bag and unnecessary weight.  And simple stuff like plugging in overnight every night to be sure the bike had 100% in the morning.. planning stops where there are charging spots.. it's hard to do when you're riding with gas bikes and you want to keep a certain level of spontaneity, but I'll try to plan more next time  ;D
