Hello from San Diego
« on: March 20, 2010, 08:48:46 AM »

I am getting into electric motorcycles.  I'm an engineer for a construction company and want to build a custom electric bike to get me around the sunny land I live in.  I was at Hollywood Electric last weekend.  I road two GPRs.  Very fun!  I've been on the electric motorsport web site and have been thinking about buying parts from there after I get a design together and come up with the $.  I've started reading some posts and this seems like a great community.  I look forward to learning and contributing.  Thanks!

that's cool Zero!  I might take you up on that.  Did you read any electric motorcycle books or just paste together info from the internet?

I haven't built anything yet, Marky.  I'm really preliminary.  I'm thinking about getting a book or a few books to guide me in my planning process.  For example, how to get the right number of batteries.  All of my questions are very basic.

Did you get parts from Electricmotosport Zero?

What books or how-to's would you all recommend?

THanks for the welcome
