Seats made by Seats Concepts
« on: September 15, 2017, 09:40:40 PM »

Hello everyone,

I have seen a few posts on here about Corbin seats and some other seats for the zeros. Some home made. There is a company thats called Seat Concepts that makes seats that you can install yourself or send your seat to them. I have one on my XR 650 and it made a huge difference. I am also looking at getting one for my R1150 ADV this winter. I called them to see if they would make one for the Zero. They said I was the first to call. I was also first to call about the R1150 and 6 months later they started making one because others called with interest. If your interested give them a call and show some interest and maybe we can get them to make a few different seats for the Zero. Many of the models they offer have low and high options. Some even density of the foam options. Check them out and post on here your thoughts. The prices are good and i bet they would make a Zero kit for $150 or so like the others.

I would like to get more saddle room on mine. Not worried about a passenger. Also raise the seat 1". Maybe gripper material like the XR has.

I'd be open to all options, but that link doesn't seem to be working for me.

Found the site.  Also did a google search on "corbin vs seat concepts".  Quite a few threads.  Here's one, and about half way down the page, someone who had both preferred the Corbin.

I had a Corbin on an old Beemer, but I wasn't overly enthusiastic about the dense foam.

My main reason for wanting to switch from the stock Zero seat is so that I can scoot my butt further back on the seat.

I'm a big fan of the seat concepts seats, the price is right and it turned both my drz 400 and my Klr 650 into machines that you can ride for more than 50kms before needing to get off and walk around to get the circulation back, I've emailed them and will see if they can get rid of the hump that prevents you from scooting back in the seat and a bit softer foam as well

The link should be fixed now. I put http in front so it doubled it.
If you would be interested give them a call and show interest. My big thing would be to scoot back also. The height would help too. On the DS model it appears some might want a low seat.
