Stuck in eco mode
« on: June 29, 2017, 01:27:16 PM »

Just went to use my bike after charging it up after I got home from work, I usually leave it in custom mode, but I noticed it was in eco mode and the Bluetooth icon was flashing, tried to press the mode button but it wont change at all, its stuck in eco mode, anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?

since the mode button to select Eco, custom, or sport is the same button you have to hold to get the Bluetooth to flash and pair, I would say its most likely your button is stuck thinking its being pressed.

If you press, pull, and wiggle on it and nothing changes I would have to recommend you just take it to the dealer and let them fix it so you don't mess anything up that gets blamed on you.  But part of me might also suggest that if you have a phillips screwdriver handy to take the switch assembly off the handlebar and look inside to see if there is an obvious culprit.

If you are someone who has rebuilt many gasoline engines in their day and feels comfortable tinkering, certainly choose option 2.  If you have to ask yourself if you should be messing with the bike, just take it to the dealer if its still within warranty just to be safe.

yeah its in warranty but I really don't trust my dealer with my bike. It'll probably come back with more problems then it went in with...

I fixed it myself, some wires were being squashed after I installed my windshield, relocated one of the mounting points and it started working again. hopefully I didn't damage the wires too badly.

The Wind doesn't blow, .........
It SUCKS!!!!
(Speaking as a cyclist).

Might want to put a dab of liquid electrical tape or apply some other form of insulation over the nicked wire(s).
