I bought a front and rear camera for the bike (I'm morbidly calling it my insurance policy and my black-box). The camera system calls for a connection to a switched circuit (for power and turning it on when I start the bike)  and a hot circuit to maintain the settings in sleep mode.  The switched circuit is easy - there's an accessory cable under the tank ready for use, but I'm not sure the best place to find a hot 12v circuit. Anyone good at reading wiring diagrams want to give me some direction?

There isn't a continuously powered 12V circuit.  Some people add a rechargeable battery. My camera head-unit had its own battery to keep it going for a while after parking.

I don't know how long it would last, but some auto remotes use a 12 volt battery about the size of a AA.
I also have some Lithium 12 Volt batteries that I use for my ICE bikes that are rather small and light.
The ones I use are from Battery Tender, the people who make the trickle chargers.
Not a lot more expensive than the conventional batteries these days
