At Thunderstruck, we sell the J1772 adapter for $90. You would need to cut a heavy-duty power cord and wire it to the socket, and get the correct resistor and diode for the pilot signal, all of which we can supply. PM me for help making this happen at an affordable price.

FYI, I got the 2 cord TusconEV adapter for Christmas and just tried it with both cords for the first time today.  It worked great.  Internal charger + 1x QuiQ.

PM me if you are interested in a value priced J1772 adapter.

I'll also have a used J1772 adapter and a used 2500 watt elcon for sale soon.  As well as the cables to hook up onboard charger and Elcon simultaneously from the J-plug.  PM me if interested.

And, for the truly frugal, I have a used Smart-car J-inlet that one could wire up.

I could meet up between San Francisco and Watsonville.

Yeah, and an adapter to C14 and back.  And a J-plug to C13.  Also a C19/C20 splitter, and a stack of adapters for "welding", RV 30 amp, and RV 50 amp outlets.  I've charged with J-plug to C13 to splitter to (1) onboard and (2) C20 to elcon, and I've also charged from the twist-lock at Computer History Museum to both chargers.
