Hi All,

I added a tracker to my 2017 DSR and it brought the cost down dramatically. (1700 pounds! to about 400)

Other things that made a big difference are accessories (luggage, screen, heated grips etc) and amount of annual mileage.

Hope this helps.

I pay 225 euro's/year for all risk, which is liability and own damage to bike and people on it. I have 70% no-claim discount.

It would help to mention the state where you insure. That's a *great* price below. Mine is higher, but not because of the "R", it just is - my '07 and '09 Vectrix had the same costs to insure, more or less as the '15 SR.

Zero SR $99 a year for basic coverage as listed above (which provides more than the basic coverage someone else listed). Adding collision and comprehensive adds about $400 on top. GEICO, in Maryland. Have not found a cheaper option (similarly, they are the lowest for my cars).

2015 FX full coverage, $250 deductible, $80 annual premium, Progressive.

You are absolutely correct and my info is rather useless without the state. I'm in Colorado. It was $357 with State Farm, $500 deductible. I also insure my car and home with State Farm so you'd think there'd be some kind of discount for that.

I've had insurance from State Farm for years: cars, bikes,
homeowners, etc. I've had a few claims (car parked in the road outside
my house rear-ended and demolished at midnight; bicycles stolen
from my garage; a couple of others during the past 30 years).
*This isn't a plug for State Farm, just want to note that
I've always been happy with their service, and have never noticed
increased premiums from any claims*.

That said, here're costs for my Zero SR. Notes:
  - I live in the Bay Area in CA, where cost of everything is above average
  - cost is only for the Zero; costs are additional for my other bikes (2005 ninja EX250; 2004 Aprilia Scarabeo)
  - I think I have top-of-the-line coverage, possibly more than I need ...

Following costs are for six months; yearly cost is ~577

Liability - Bodily Injury / Property Damage
$100,000 each person / $300,000 each accident / $50,000 each accident
Premium $26.21

Comprehensive Deductible $250
Premium $84.40

Collision Deductible $250
Premium $123.00

Uninsured Motor Vehicle - Bodily Injury $100,000 each person / $300,000 each accident
Premium $52.39

Uninsured Motor Vehicle - Property Damage $250
Premium $2.33
