Hello from Dundee
« on: December 11, 2015, 03:32:52 PM »

Hi dudes, just been linked to this site from the 100% Biker FB page. have a 1970s Yamaha Chappy in my garage - slightly larger than a monkey bike - with a borked engine. So have long considered taking it on as an e-bike project.

The one attached is not mine, i wish, but gives folks an idea of what i'm dealing with.

I note that Skyteam have produced an underbone e-bike from which i did consider searching for bits but that strikes me as cheating.

I'm very much the entusiastic amateur but used to goof about with Tornado electronic bits many moons ago so not a total e-noob.

Not loking for particularly practical transport, small fast and hilarious is the (long term) goal.

As mentioned it has an underbone engine and once the fuel and oil tanks are thrown in the Tay there's a walloping space under the seat for batteries.

Look forward to picking your brains.

Cheers

Andrew

I you chuck out all the ICE components there should be plenty of space for the e-stuff. Then it has all the potential to fool around with it downtown.
