Fx rear tire
« on: September 18, 2015, 12:58:22 PM »

For some reason with only 3000km on my FX and rear tire is almost done  ;D
What kind of tires do you recommend. Is 140/70-18 too big for the rim?
My FX has been working great and 2.5kw elcon charger is great for little longer trips also:)

Regarding which tyre to buy, if you only ride road, get a road tyre; a touring tyre will last longer. A 140 should fit, but it's generally considered over-kill for the power output of the FX, just extra weight for no gain. An FX with two batteries is comparable to a 450cc(four stroke). For off-road, the general rule is (four strokes)250cc-110, 450cc-120, and 500cc-140.

I replaced mine with the Michlein T63 110/80. These are dual purpose, but much more dirt oriented than the originals.
I do most of my riding off road.
Very happy wiith them - excellent grip.
