Suzuki files hybrid patents

This is interesting.  At least one Japanese company may be trying (or at least thinking about) something new with electric power. However, I am not so sure that a hybrid sportbike is the way to go, due to the added weight.  To me a cruiser would seem to make a better platform for this hybrid power concept:
