Made a chart of the SR prices across different countries
« on: November 23, 2015, 03:25:08 AM »

Why? Why not ;D Was a bit bored and pulled the data from the country specific sites.

Prices are for a 2016 SR as stated on the site, in euros as converted today:

Australia and UK would be nice. Which of those countries includes VAT and other ride-away fees as well? (The US doesn't typically include any fees in MSRP)

All the European pricing is with VAT (although VAT varies slightly from country to country). Consumer goods always have VAT included.

This is only useful if you compare base (pre-tax) pricing.
Tax percentages vary per country.

Israel: 26K euro :(
I'm on my 3rd Zero. I sold my 2014 DS to a guy in Boston a few months ago and traded my 2014 SR in Israel for a NEW 2015 in October. The difference is amazing. Now regretting not holding out a few more days for the 2016 SR with the new motor. They just raised the speed limit here to 120kmh which means your safe till around 135-140kmh. In the end the SR cost me 19,400 € delivered. I have a business so the V.A.T. is refunded and there's no usage tax like on gas bikes here. Just glad there's Zero Motorcycles in Israel. Considering the cost of setting up shop in Israel runs several million I didn't think anyone would take the leap of faith and knew neither of the old line mega-importers would sacrifice their lucrative service margins to sell electric. I saw some numbers a few years back for reestablishing Harley in Israel, there are cash bonds for the import license, the service license, all sorts of guarantees and regulations. An old friend said he had less investment in his CA HD shops and he's selling close to 2000 bikes a year. Figured the Israel market couldn't top 70 and after what I'm told was a huge investment by a local importer with many years experience, that's exactly where Harley sales are in Israel at less than 100 annually. Did I mention, coldest day yet of the year and its 60F, great weather for a motorcycle and then theres the several hours of rush-hour gridlock, lane splitting, and gas prices twice that in the States are just a few of the reasons to buy and ride a Zero.
