Watching that video makes me think why would anyone want a gas trials bike? That thing would be basically maintenance and hassle free, and without gas / noise you could get away with riding at places or at times where gas bikes would attract too much attention.

Looks like a blast right? :D I am working on a post on Plugbike.com right now. Should be up today some time.

Here is some more information I've gathered...

Philippe Aresten started Electric Motion. He was the president of Scorpa from 2001 to 2007. He started SEV while at Scorpa but then Scorpa declared bankrupcy. I'm not sure who controls SEV now but Sherco purchased Scorpa.

EM has 3 other models being developed.

The motor used in the production bike will not be an Agni 95.

More information and great pics here...

As you can see this is not a one of a kind prototype...

I've been reading a lot of comments from various Bubbas and the common theme is that in order to have fun on a motorcycle it must make your ears bleed, it must stink, it must (this is an absolute) go 100 mph and it must do it for 8 hours or it's **Impossible** to have any fun.  So I can only conclude that despite it looking like the most fun you could have on a motorcycle, these riders are actually being tortured.

The top photo in that plug-bike article shows a PM Brushless Golden Motor 5kW.

A good choice for that bike.

Gasdrive, yeah they look bored. :D most humans would be happy mastering a few of those skills at half the speed.

Biff, good eye. Thanks for the link. Philippe did not tell me who he worked with for the motor but sounds like they had it built to custom specs.

It is now 2016 and I just took possession of a new 2015 EM 5.7. Any new comments in the last five years?
