BMW C Evolution selling well in France
« on: December 10, 2014, 10:01:07 PM »

Motorbiker.org reports that the BMW C Evolution electric scooter is selling well in France and is meeting BMW's sales expectations:

Unfortunately, it appears (for some unknown reason to me) that all other electric motorcycle brand sales numbers remain a mystery and are apparently a big secret that only responds to speculation - unless there is a government recall and fortunately there have been few of those lately.

The French go crazy for maxiscooters.  I doubt they will see the same success per capita elsewhere.

By all accounts the C has done ok here in the UK, with only a handful left available, dunno if thats only because very few units were sent over though.
I took a good look at one at the NEC bike show, and (as someone who does not like scooters at all) I was reasonably impressed.

It looks like France is really getting into the fast-charging outlet thing.  At this rate they will soon have more charging stations than gas pumps.   :)

Scooter doesn't always mean "Moped"  ;-)

Looks like one good road bump would rip the underside off the fairing...  Is this classed as extreme scootering?
