Awesome and really in-depth!

That should probably go in a Zero FAQ for the new people that always go "can I haz CHAdeMO?" and get upset when they can't.

Edit: I *love* their slogan: "EVs are here. Try to keep up."

Another edit: I think the offending charger manufacturers that aren't interested in meeting the standard should be "named & shamed" so that there's some sort of incentive to get on the ball and fix things, until they actually get a certification mark in place.

Zero didn't give up on CHAdeMO in 2013. They gave up on it around the end of 2014, early 2015. I had a CHAdeMO system on order for my SR for nine months. I had the emails from Zero and there were some CHAdeMO systems that worked well with the Zero. It was also those brands which were primarily what were installed around North Carolina. I understood that not all CHAdeMO systems were going to work. But not all L2 systems work with my Elcons either.

I'm still not happy with their decision to stop with chademo. I've found a shop that does install chademo inlets on vehicles but using a generic inlet for cars means that it is more bulky and you need a top case or something similar because it can't fit neatly behind the body panels.

The most frustrating thing is that literally every chademo charger I've seen so far in the Netherlands(and we have a lot of them) is made by ABB and has been proven to be compatible.

They have done this with other vehicles that did not have a CHAdeMO option. I emailed them a few months ago and think it was still something they were going to develop but not sure the latest status on it.

I emailed them a few months ago and think it was still something they were going to develop but not sure the latest status on it.

They began the process of working on it and have been in communication with Zero.  I think they were waiting for 10 orders of their product before moving forward in earnest, but I haven't heard any updates lately either.

I think the DigiNow charger probably got most of the people onboard who would have considered such a purchase.
