MotoCzysz TTXGP bike Dyno Run
« on: May 14, 2009, 06:03:03 PM »

First look at the MotoCzysz in the metal.  Michael Czysz posted a video of their "Digital Superbike" on the dyno getting preped for TTXGP.

I remember feeling sad for weeks when I learned 2-strokes were on their way out but my mourning was short lived once I laid eyes on their replacements - the mighty 4-stroke 990’s. While I am NOT clamming ICE to be out or electric to be the “new” MotoGP, I am stating that this is a very magical power source. The torque deliver is what every engine designer and tuner tries to mimic. In ICE, this can only be achieve by adding layers of electronics; we now just have the electronics!

I love all the big thinking these companies are doing.  I am curious if the open architecture he mentions will include more than just batteries and motor upgrades.  Brammo will have API access to the electronics in the bike as well as GPS.  I hope MotoCzysz has the same in mind.  So many possibilities from simply monitoring power usage with an iPhone app (while charging it) to sending ride video to your PC as you ride (Brammo mentioned this) to tuning power delivery.
