What did you do to your EV today?
« on: March 10, 2014, 11:18:27 PM »

It has been popular on other forums so I figured I'd start one here (I couldn't find one already started, so forgive me if it exists).

So what did you do to your EV today?

I unwinterized the Empulse R.... basically just cleaned the chassis and plastic, lubed the chain and put air in the tires :) Easiest unwinterizing ever! SOC was still about where I left it.

I rode it, like I do every day.

I suppose the most interesting recent thing was this weekend: I rode it to the airport and parked it *between* rows in the covered lot, plugging into an EV charging point as I took my luggage onto a flight and then came home the next evening in heavy rain and wind. The only downside was that the parking attendant said my parking stub was marked stolen because the sensors didn't pick up my vehicle! So, that bit was inconvenient.

I washed the dust off of my Zero.   :)  And then went for a ride to dry it off and to dry out the brake components by braking and getting them warm.

I gave it a nice 9 hour charge @ work. I live a lot closer to work now, so it usually only needs to be charged once or twice a week.

I rode 5 miles on the motorcycle today, but 5.5 miles on a pedal bike at a nice long lunch.. hoping winter is finally broken.

Looked at my 2012 DS longingly as I walked out the door to drive 60 miles to work :(

Waiting for battery tech to catch up to motor and controller tech...

Just hit the 3,000 mile mark on my FX today during my morning ride, I'm hesitant to mod the bike; it's great already and reliable as hell.

After removing the thermoscud and muffs this weekend I had a wonderful ride to a daughter company today. But then I discovered that their charge point was not available for public charging. Good thing I also brought my company charge pass which luckily also worked at the daughter company. Otherwise I would not have made it home!
It is great riding weather the past days here in the Netherlands so I am enjoying these last rides with my Vectrix before my Empulse arrives!
