The cafe racer looks cool but the V9 looks thrown together and is outrageously heavy.  Where does it hold 33kwh of battery? Is there more in the rear fairing?

I don't believe the existing prototype has the 33 kWh battery. The rear bags will remain free for storage with either battery, the battery will be stored within the bike frame.

A tight hexagonal packing with NCR18650B has an energy density of ~830 Wh/L. Add 30% for enclosure, packaging and thermal transfer material etc and you have ~640 Wh/L.

33 kWh / 640 Wh/L = 51.5L.

The 2013 Zero battery enclosure (ZF11.4) is 378x252x430.5 mm, or 41L, and has an energy density of 240 Wh/L. Notably this includes BMS electronics and cabling.

So add 25% to the 2013 Zero pack size and double its weight (340 pounds) and you'd have a very compact 33 kWh pack.

What protomech said is very close. Yes it is heavy compared to say a Zero or Brammo but is very competitive in weight to similar type bikes from Honda/Harley/Victory ect, plus we are almost guaranteed to be much quicker then the gas bikes. We have already done a ~4.11 0-60 run with it compared to ~6 seconds for a similar gas bike.

If your in the Vegas area stop by and check it out for yourself.

The picture you posted didn't load at work but I can see it now on my home PC.  Its much bigger than I thought.   Do you have any detail shots of the pack and motor etc?

It isn't really to my taste although the engineering is impressive.  The Brutus 2 Cafe looks more to my taste but sadly I can't imagine I'll be near Vegas within the next year or 2.
