Battery pack dimensions
« on: June 25, 2013, 06:04:43 AM »

I'm looking for the outer dimensions of the 2013 battery pack.  The ZF2.8 is now used across the entire range of bikes.  So any model will work.

Also has anyone weighed a pack yet?

The curb weight difference between the FX, MX, and XU ZF2.8 to ZF5.7 models is 42 pounds.

I'd very much like to know the outer dimensions of the ZF2.8 pack as well; it doesn't seem to be published anywhere online so it would be fantastic if someone who has one could measure it.

Thanks.  Now we just need those dimensions.

OK, here you go. You can ignore the third zero, they're not to three places, I just didn't want to change my AutoCAD settings. I made these very basic drawings because Zero's drawings are proprietary and not to be reproduced.

There is a bevel on the side of the connector farthest from the side of the box that I didn't show and there is a 45* 3/4" x 3/4" bevel along one edge of the box. The dims I'm showing are for the outline of the box and connector.

Thanks trikester!

That's great, I don't even have to do a metric -> standard conversion like every other pack size I see.

Yes, the reason for those oddball decimals like 3.99" is because the metric numbers were whole numbers.
