The thing that i have never understood is the "it's unfair!" attitude of some cagers who try to block lane splitters.... If you think it is unfair then get out of the cage, on a bike, and try it.

Moving the bikes quickly through allows more space on the road for all drivers.

I think that bikes should flow to the front of every Red light in town, like they do in Europe.   That way the bikes can accelerate off the line ahead of the cars again making more space on the road for all drivers and riders.   I would like to do that here in the US but it is not socially accepted by the cagers so I cool my jets waiting in line behind the stinky cars and trucks.

I think there are drivers in the U.S. that believe that driving in traffic is like waiting in line for something (in this case getting to their destination) and therefore seeing motorcycles passing them as "jumping the line", which they feel is just unfair.  Everyone should sit and be as miserable as they are waiting for the traffic to move and motorcyclists should do the same.  And if they and their bikes cook in the hot sun or drown in heavy rain, well that is what they get for not buying an air conditioned car and listening to music or talking on the cell phone like the rest of the "normal" public.

I do this at every red light I come up on where I live, at first I felt kind of guilty doing it; now I just dont care.

Of course I also pass on the left for stopped cars turning right (we drive on the left side of the road here) etc... basically move through traffic nice and quickly.

in my truck my commute to work was 20-22 min,  now it's 14-16 min  (not huge, but still nice) plus with my speakers in the helmet and pandora on my phone its a plesant ride.
