2012 S rear sproket upgrade on my DS 2011
« on: June 05, 2013, 11:28:30 AM »

Liveforphysics ( luke Workman) and also Ryan said that a great performance upgrade on the 2011 to get maximum power from the agni consist of changing the rear stock sproket( 98 tooths)  for  the 132 tooth wich is the same as on the 2012 and 2013 S model. This also require to change the belt from a 200 tooths to a 220 tooth. So i bought these parts from Harlan from Hollywood Electric and installed them yesterday.

Next upgrade is to boost the voltage from 58V to 84V by modifying the battery setup and replacing the Alltrax controller.

Form now i have only the sproket upgrade done and it is pretty impressive! I have set the max current to  425A  and the acceleratio is really impressive! As well i'm loosing some top speed. My max top speed was 120kmh on the stock DS 2011 and it droped to 90km/h max. Torque increased by a great factor as well.

The powerband is uncommon, It's really high from about 15km/h to 75km/h, than at about 85kmh we really feel that the aceleration stop and speed taper.

Next step is to increase voltage ( as i talked already in another thread so i'll add a 25V battery in serie to boost the speed to about 132km/h max

This battery upgrade will also boost the Ah so i'll have the equivalent of the trade off between the ZF6 and ZF9 in term of range.

Actual real range is 63km on stock battery system

I think Terry dropped back to the 98 tooth for the Vetter Fuel Economy challenge. Maybe you could have swapped with him ; )

Yeah, i guess it could be more efficient with the 98 tooth...  motor sping pretty fast now and it's generating more loss i guess.
The sound pitch on my Ds 2011 also have changed with motor spining higher RPM for the same speed but i love it !

Estimated Max RPM on the dtocl 2011 is about 4000. With the 84V battery upgrade it will reach the max allowable rpm of 6000rpm and should bring the power curve to a pretty interesting result!

At 425A and the 132 tooth rear, the front wheel feel very close to lift  when i crank the throttle!

Tomorrow i will get my new Kenda K671 tires upgrade!.. no more vibration fron DS wheels!
