ChargePoint and ECOtality collaborating
« on: March 08, 2013, 11:03:44 PM »

According to an article in the business section of my newspaper, written by Dana Hull, mecurynews.com, ChargePoint (11,000 charging stations) and ECOtolity (4,000 charging stations) are collaborating via a separate service they call Collaboratev, which will allow for charging at an of the two companies stations and billing across both networks. They will also share data on where each charging station is located.

This can only be good news.  At a recent talk i was told that in England there are something like 46 different council run charging programs so you would need 46 cards to charge at them.  Madness.  Luckily there is a very successful network of free charging points at hotels, guest houses and attractions etc.
