Empulse transmission slack
« on: February 14, 2013, 10:21:22 PM »

Here is a link to a discussion, which includes some interesting posts and videos from Brammo's Development Director, explaining what causes the "clunking" sound and feel from the Empulse's transmission when starting off from a stop:  http://brammoforum.com/index.php?topic=1855.0

In particular, there is a short video which illustrates how the shifting dogs in motorcycle constant-mesh transmissions work to select gears.

My Harley had always a very noisy metallic clank. First gear and second in particular.
