Polaris eats Klim - resulting in my speculation
« on: December 25, 2012, 03:10:36 AM »

According to the January 2013 issue of City Bike (News, Clues & Rumors, page 3), Polaris Industries couldn't resist buying Klim, the Rigby, Idaho-based, manufacturer of high-end and very expensive adventure-riding apparel. Klim (pronounced "climb") does about $30 million a year in business. The amount of the sale was not disclosed. Polaris will maintain Klim as a separate brand and retain its headquarters as a product-development center.

So why did I bring this subject up?  I keep thinking that one of these days, Polaris Industries is going to gobble up Brammo, too.  They sure have the resources to do so, have invested in the company before and Brammo's EV technology could go a long way to help Polaris produce a range of electric cruisers, euro-scooters, off-road and commercial utility vehicles, electric boats and jet skis (IC versions of which are being run out of reservoir-recreational lakes), electric snowmobiles (IC versions getting run out of National Parks) and who knows what else. To me it always seemed like a good fit.  I figure it is just a matter of time, as Polaris evaluates the technology and the consumer market.
