Talking about the ZF6 and ZF9 bikes respectively. Zero really, really needs to either rename the "highway commuting" range spec or add a sustained highway operation range spec.

That seems like a pretty fair review.  I continue to believe that the real environment for the Zero is commuting and local urban and suburban travel.  It is never going to be an amusement ride, just a pack horse that eats electricity and doesn't poop on the road.   ;)

Whoa there! Don't forget dirt riding. The DS ZF6 is great in the dirt and the range is sufficient for most dirt rides. I extrapolate 65 miles with my dirt riding style. Doing any dirt ride longer than that is category: Gonzo! My longest ride so far (with plenty of battery left) was 45 miles and the last 12 miles were on pavement. I was one tired puppy enjoying a cold beer and a hot tub that evening. ;)

Unfortunately, all of the dirt within a100-mile radius of me is either privately owned, or off-limits to motorized vehicles.   :(  So I don't think about dirt much - except as being something to wash off.
