What motors have you got in mind? and will they be wired in series or parallel?

Series is more torque but less top speed, parallel is less torque but higher top speed.

Unless you're building a race bike, the extra weight/cost would imo be better spent going on batteries, and go with a single motor, moderate performance but decent range.

what bike do you have in mind for the conversion?

What kind of performance and range do you want?

this has been a very brain heavy couple weeks , what started as a simple "build an electric bike" has turned into a quest to build something i can be proud of.....the more i research the more i want to build something that will perform and at the same time teach me about a tecnology that will do nothing but move forward , from what i have read in the last couple of weeks the fun stuff is in the experimenting , but first i should build something that will teach me some stuff , so the plan so far it for twin agni 95rs and a zilla control , this coming week is " battery " week , more readin and head scratchin , i know these choices will not be to all taste's but the "2" speed idea intrigues me ,and i can start with the single motor and add the second as the build progresses .
To answer the question as to what bike , i have a VTR 1000 , i wanted to build something on the bigger side not a 250 mini thing , the frame of the VTR lends it self  to " hanging " motor and battery pack as once the V twin is removed the wishbone frame will lend it self to low battery placement and a good center of G.
I have my own CNC machine shop which i have run TOTALLY off the grid for the last 4 years ,so in the last four years i have done a lot to learn about power generation and storage and conservation , its time to burn that power on two wheel and have fun !!!!!
