Zero ad in Cycle World magazine
« on: June 07, 2011, 07:00:27 AM »

I have to give Zero credit. They started out slow, but are really putting out some money to both improve their product as well as to bring it into the mainstream motorcycle press. The July issue of Cycle World has a full-page ad for the Zero models on page 79 in the issue's "Special Advertizing Section".

The ad is titled "Take Charge". It shows a rider on a Zero S overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge. All of Zero's 5 models are shown below this photo and under that the ad says: "The Next Step in Motorcycle Evolution", followed by a paragraph describing the fun and advantages of owning a Zero. At the bottom of the page there is a line saying: "Shift Free / Oil Free / Gas Free / Exhaust Free / Noise Free", followed by their logo and URL. Very nicely done, in my opinion. I hope it generates some positive results for Zero.   :)

I just found another Zero ad. This is a half-page on page 11 of the June issue of Friction Zone magazine. It is titled "The Next Step in Motorcycle Evolution" and says: "Instant acceleration, lightweight, fun and fully electric. Discover the experience of riding and owning an electric motorcycle."

What I found particularly interesting (in view of the latest Brammo announcement about hiring a dealer-finder director) is that Zero lists a number of dealers that are currently selling their 2011 models - which they proclaim are "in stock". Here are the dealers: Mission Motorcycles, Daly City, CA; Escondido Cycle Center, Escondido, CA; Santa Barbara Motorsports, Goleta, CA; Hollywood Electrics, West Hollywood, CA; Norcal Mastercraft Pleasanton, Pleasanton, CA; Moore & Sons Motorcycles, Santa Cruz, CA; Airhead Sales and Service, LLC, Klamath Falls, OR; Responsible Living, Salem, OR; and MC Electric Vehicles, Seattle, WA.

Zero does seem to be on a roll.
