I bought one of the original 2009 ZeroX's back about 6 months before they let them out. I even got a call from Neil Saiki when I was waiting for it while enduring the delays. Anyways, so I've had this bike for a few years now and have only really had a problem or two with it, but each and every time Zero flips me new parts or in this case sends me a battery return box to repair my battery. In short my battery sat for the whole winter in the house on the charger in the spare room. It was warm, dry and always topped off.. I finally dig it out to play in the new year's sun and I have like only a 10mile range. Runs great just seems half the pack is missing... And this is one of the metal faced batteries. My original one had some wiring issue present in some early models so they shipped me this metal face one and took that one back. I mean years after I get this bike they are still standing by the customer! I've gotten brake replacements, control box swaps, charger swaps, some motor cooling plates.. Yadda yadda yadda.. Impressive really! I have a lot of people watching the progress of me with this bike and so far they cant blast me for diving into something so new and unknown. So hats off to Zero for looking after the customer! I am really hoping they end up flipping me one of the newer batteries with the extra cells in it... Plz plz plz if any Zero people are reading this.. I'll take a newer one if you guys have any spares kicking around haha..
