Zero has just announced a new lower-priced commuter motorcycle with a replaceable fast-charge batter called the XU. Read about it here:

I wonder why it did not make it belt driven as it has done with the other street bikes? Also I love the new bigger front and rear brake! I bet that changes things a good amount for street. Looking forward to attempting to get a rear street tire out of them.

It now seems to call the power pack as Intelligent.... "Z-Forceâ„¢ Patented Li-Ion Intelligent Power Pack"

Back brake is upside down again.  You'd have thought they would have fixed that issue by now.

so a MX as XU for street - lower - great - range not to great, speed --really for inner city commuting.

great to see they have a platform and effectively can create of them many variations -- do we get a DIY option soon -- i.e. like u can mod your Harley to create a totally different bike along the way ....

The XU has some major changes over the X/MX take a look at the battery connector it wont work with a 2009/2010 X/MX battery.


Also the 2011 new dash.
