Auxiliary lighting on the Experia - any tips?
« on: November 17, 2024, 08:37:07 AM »

My 2025 Experia arrives in a week and a half, so I'm looking into the lighting situation. Has anyone added auxiliary lights to their Energica? What kind did you go with, and where did you tap in?

I've really enjoyed the Skene lights for front & back visibility on my CE 04, and will likely go with those again. They don't improve your ability to see the road at night, however, so I may consider adding an extra set of lights on the crash bars. All recommendations & wiring tips welcome!

There are connectors (TE AMP Superseal Series) under the right side fairing for aux 12v accessories. The owners manual has information on how to access these. Please ensure the current draw of the lights is under the specification referenced in the manual.
Each of the Aux output are protected by a fuse inside the main fuse holder (black box right above the aux connectors).

I have not seen an Experia with driving lights installed. I run these on my F800gs

One set of flood beams that are always on and another set of spot beams that are tied to my highbeams. Not sure if they are still being made

If you want to wire your lights to come on with your standard or high beams use a relay. Low beam and high beam power route through the LH control so you can either tap into them there or where the control plugs (3 pin TE AMP) into the main harness.

If you want the lights to be switched independently from the headlight
There is a thread on the forum related to cruise control relocation here:

One of the posts has a link to a 3d print file that mounts to the underside of the left control housing and allows for mounting of 2 buttons.
I think this would be a great option for toggling your aux lights.
